The Hammersmith practice Dr Kyi built from scratch

West London Orthodontist started in 2011 as a disused building and an orthodontist with no patients and no team. Dr Chaw Su Kyi built it into a specialist practice the slow way - through results, word of mouth, and looking after people properly. It is still independent, and she still plans every orthodontic case herself.

Orthodontic treatment is rarely just about teeth. Most people who walk through our door have been thinking about it for a long time, sometimes years. That is the bit we care about getting right, alongside the clinical work.

“We would rather you heard it from the people who have actually sat in the chair.”

Patients tell us about the things we cannot claim for ourselves - how they were spoken to, how their child felt about coming back, whether the result was worth it.
