Who needs porcelain veneers?

Smiles are powerful and often considered one of the best forms of nonverbal communication. They make you approachable, exude confidence, and lift the mood of those around you. Ultimately, a simple smile improves relationships and makes the world brighter.

But what if you don’t like your smile? Don’t worry. Thanks to the transformative benefits of porcelain veneers, your dream smile is always within reach. We can correct numerous cosmetic flaws by adhering paper-thin porcelain sheaths to your teeth.

  • Chipped, cracked, or worn-out teeth
  • Severely discoloured or stained teeth
  • Mildly crooked teeth
  • Unwanted spacing between teeth
  • Oddly shaped or sized teeth

If you are seeking a quick, one-size-fits-all solution, you won’t find it here. Your smile is as unique as your fingerprints. Our veneer treatment plan is only designed for YOUR smile. We don’t have a template from which to start. Everything starts from scratch to develop a smile that reflects your personality, character, and inner beauty.

Whether you’re considering smile enhancements or looking for veneers in Hammersmith, West London, our clinic offers personalised care and beautifully natural results.

What should I expect from the dental veneer treatment?

Your veneer-enhanced smile only requires two dental appointments. Your treatment starts with a consultation, where we want to establish your concerns and goals. The dentist also examines your teeth and gums to determine your veneer eligibility. If so, we’ll embark on teeth preparation to prepare for veneer placement.

Our office prioritises your comfort, even for minor dental procedures like veneer preparation. Before we begin, we’ll numb your gums with powerful local anaesthetics. This ensures you won’t feel any pain during the treatment. Once you are at ease, we’ll remove about 0.5mm of the front-facing enamel to create space for your veneers’ thickness. Next, we’ll digitally scan your prepped teeth to develop a blueprint for fabricating your bespoke veneers. Until we receive your new veneers, we’ll temporarily restore your teeth to preview the new smile that awaits.

Once we receive your veneers, you’ll visit our office for placement. Often, we’ll make a few tweaks to ensure your veneers look natural and fit comfortably. The final step is to bond your veneers permanently to your teeth with dental cement.

Do veneers look realistic?

Our dental veneers are created with precise planning and state-of-the-art materials. Poorly designed veneers may look bulky, overly white, and unnaturally square. Our veneers blend seamlessly with your teeth, gums, facial features, and personality, creating a natural and authentic appearance. Once in place, our veneers are virtually indistinguishable from natural teeth-except they are flawless.

Many of our patients looking for West London veneers are amazed by how natural and confident they feel after treatment with our experienced team.

Hammersmith questions

Questions
for us?

How much do veneers cost in London?+

The cost of veneers varies depending on the material and the practice. Composite veneers typically range from £300–£600 per tooth, while porcelain veneers cost between £800–£2,000 per tooth. At our Hammersmith studio, porcelain veneers start from £895 per tooth. A consultation with Dr Heydarian is essential to determine the number of veneers needed and the overall cost of achieving your desired results.

How long do veneers last?+

With proper care, veneers can last 10–15 years or longer. Porcelain veneers are more durable and stain-resistant than composite ones, contributing to their longer lifespan. Regular brushing, flossing and check-ups with us help maintain veneers, while avoiding hard or sticky foods reduces the risk of damage. Over time, natural wear or changes in your gum line may require replacement to keep your smile looking its best.

Which veneers look most natural?+

Porcelain veneers are widely considered the most natural-looking option. They mimic the translucency and sheen of natural enamel, allowing them to blend with your surrounding teeth. Each veneer is custom-designed for your smile, taking into account shape, size and colour. Modern materials and techniques mean well-made veneers are very difficult to distinguish from natural teeth.

Can you go back to normal teeth after veneers?+

Veneers are a permanent treatment, because they require removing a small amount of enamel from the teeth for proper bonding. Once enamel is removed it cannot grow back, meaning your teeth will always need some form of coverage, such as new veneers or crowns, to protect them. This is why we talk the decision through thoroughly at your consultation before anything is started.

Do veneers hurt?+

Getting veneers is generally comfortable. We use local anaesthetic during the preparation process so you don’t feel anything. Afterwards you may notice mild sensitivity to hot or cold, which typically settles within a few days. Minimally invasive options, such as no-prep veneers, can reduce this further — Dr Heydarian will tell you which is suitable for your teeth.

Do veneers look too fake?+

Modern veneers are designed to look natural, and advances in materials and technology allow for lifelike results. The key is a dentist who customises the veneers to your facial features, natural tooth colour and goals — which is exactly what your consultation is for. Well-made veneers should enhance your smile without looking artificial or overdone.

Do veneers break easily?+

While veneers are strong, they are not invincible and can break under excessive force. Porcelain veneers are more resistant to cracking than composite ones, but both should be treated carefully. Avoid biting hard objects such as ice or pens, and wear a mouthguard if you grind your teeth at night — we can make you a custom one. Regular check-ups mean any potential issues are picked up early.
