Enlighten teeth whitening treatment at West London Orthodontist Cosmetic Dental Studios

If professional teeth whitening is in your future, consider Enlighten teeth whitening treatment. Enlighten teeth whitening will make your pearly whites gleam! It’s a safe and effective treatment backed by dentists all over the world. At West London Orthodontist Cosmetic Dental Studios, we offer Enlighten teeth whitening treatment to our West London, UK, area patients. In this post, Dr. Chaw-Su Kyi answers your questions about this treatment to help you decide if it’s a good fit for you.

What are my options for Enlighten teeth whitening?

This treatment can be completed at home using our customized whitening kit or as a combination home/in-office treatment. Dr. Kyi will start with a consultation and a full dental exam to see if you’re a good candidate for teeth whitening. If so, we’ll plan your treatment and create whitening trays for your use.

How long does Enlighten take to whiten my smile?

Most people will obtain optimal whitening results within three weeks. For extreme cases of stained or discoloured teeth, it may take longer, six to eight weeks. Dr. Kyi can give you an estimate of the duration of your treatment at the time of your consultation.

How does Enlighten teeth whitening work?

After your initial consultation, Dr. Kyi will give you a home treatment kit containing customized trays and Enlighten teeth whitening gel. For the first two weeks, you’ll wear your trays with gel overnight as you sleep. In the morning, you’ll remove the trays, rinse them out with cold water and let them air dry. After two weeks of night treatment, you’ll switch to using your whitening trays for one hour daily for one week. By the end of your third week, your treatment should be complete. For severely stained or discoloured teeth, Dr. Kyi will develop a personalized treatment to achieve the whitening results you desire.

Is Enlighten teeth whitening safe?

Yes! Under the supervision of an experienced cosmetic dentist like Dr. Kyi, you can look forward to a safe, effective tooth whitening experience.

Is the treatment painful?

No, teeth whitening isn’t painful. You may, however, experience slight sensitivity during or after your treatment. As the whitening gel penetrates the enamel of your teeth, it opens up tiny pores in your teeth that make them more sensitive. The sensitivity should pass within a day or two after your treatment.

How long do the results of Enlighten teeth whitening last?

You’ll be happy to know your whitening results can last indefinitely. You can retain your beautiful, bright smile for years through good oral hygiene and periodic “touch-ups” at home or at our office. You also don’t have to worry about foods or drinks re-staining your teeth. You can still enjoy your coffee, red wine and tea!
